Tama Fall is one of many waterfalls that grace the north slope of the Mount Madison/Mount Adams region. Snyder Brook drops and slides in a gentle dogleg manner down a steep slide into a lime green pool. The falls are easily found on the Fallsway Trail. While the falls are also visible from the trail adjacent to the top of the falls, the best view is to be had from below.

The falls drape over a sloping ledge of Two Mica Granite, formerly known as Bickford Granite.

The sloping nature of the falls and the somewhat shiny quality of the bedrock make your polarizer a necessity. You'll want a tripod to allow longer exposures. A warming filter might be overkill here, as there are abundant reddish tones present here. The afternoon sun can be a troublemaker, overcast days are best, but early and late in the day will be alright. Focal lengths in the 28-80mm range will suffice.

The access is from a large parking lot on the south side of Route 2 in Randolph. The falls are along the Fallsway Trail, about 7/10 of a mile from the lot.
