The falls leaping down the wall of Grafton Notch

Details:

Just a short ways north of the pullout for Mother Walker Falls, you might notice a series of leaps skipping down the south wall of Grafton Notch. Cascade Brook leaps at least 600' down the wall of the notch in multiple tiers. The topo maps suggest the falls might go on for quite a ways more than the photos show. I suppose I'll have to climb the adjacent trail for a look one day...

Photography Notes:

Telephoto will be helpful, indeed, the clearest views of the falls are from the side of Route 26 a short ways north of the falls. You'll probably need a Skylight filter and warming filter, and a polarizer is pretty much necessary. I shot the falls with a 28-300 lens and a 3x teleconverter. The lens wasn't all the way extended, but I still shot the falls at about 750mm.

Directions:

Take Route 26 into Grafton Notch. The falls are about 1.3 miles north of Mother Walker Falls
